Another Day, Another Injunction

For the second day in a row, a Superior Court judge has frozen funds sought by the state, and disputed by New Hampshire health providers. On Monday, it was $110 million in the Joint Underwriting Assocation. Yesterday, it was $9 million disputed by New Hampshire nursing homes:

Superior Court Judge Diane Nicolosi on Tuesday issued an injunction sought by the New Hampshire Health Care Association until the dispute is resolved. Without the order, the money would have gone into the state's general fund at the end of the day.

The Court has already ordered the state to hand over the disputed funds, but Governor John Lynch has issued an Executive Order taking the money anyway.
