I just got off the phone with Assistant Attorney General David Hiltz, who was referred to us as leading the investigation requested by the Executive Council into the disputed lease agreement between the State of New Hampshire and Milford-Bennington Railroad, which is owned by State Representative Peter Leishman.
Hiltz says that because the investigation is ongoing, he was unable to comment, but did say that he is not conducting the investigation himself.
Shortly after our conversation, Acting Attorney General Bud Fitch called to say that Associate AG Anne Rice would be heading up the inquiry, but that she won't be back in the office until next week.
