A New Hampshire Senate budget proposal to suspend a business tax credit has drawn strong opposition from the business community, which believes a recession is the wrong time for lawmakers to nickel and dime struggling companies.
For one Seacoast-based company, a suspension of the business enterprise tax would add to a growing number of financial burdens.
"The BET is just one of many issues that are hurting small businesses right now," said Steve Wood, president and CEO of Work Opportunities Unlimited in Dover.
