Foster's Daily Democrats lambastes both the House and Senate for crafting budgets that raise taxes and fail to control spending:
The only real difference between Democrats in the House and Democrats in the Senate is the way in which they want to pick the pockets of the businesses and people of New Hampshire, who are struggling to survive.
In the House they want to do it with newer and higher taxes. In the Senate they want the people to feed their money into video slot machines.
One thing on which Democratic members of the House and Senate can agree is that a substantial cut in spending is not the way to go.
Democrats in the Legislature have closed their eyes to the presence of widespread and rising unemployment, that businesses in New Hampshire are continuing to fail and that the economy is still sinking.
